In 1664, Elector Ferdinand and his wife Henrietta Adelaide of Savoy commissioned Agostino Barelli to build a summer palace to commemorate the birth of their son. The building and expansion continued over 300 years. The swans in the front are beautiful and some of the largest I have ever seen. The garden is immense with a system of canals and fountains.
